Overview

At Toll, we move the businesses that move the world. Toll will manage and deliver a range of services on behalf of the Australian Department of Home Affairs to support Refugee and Humanitarian Visa applicants within the Assisted passage Program.
As Team Leader Financial Services, you will provide leadership to a dedicated Finance and Administrative support team at our Africa Regional office in Nairobi Kenya. You will provide key support activities to our Offshore Home Affairs Assisted Passage Program and offer a centralised invoice processing and payment enquiry point to all suppliers and Service providers across regions.
You will manage the financial services workload allocation, monitoring and coaching on performance to drive efficiencies within the team and increase productivity whilst ensuring Finance Administrative officers deliver superior service standards, assistance and effective support to our Case managers, clients, customers, and your global peers.

Responsibilities

The primary accountabilities of the job are:

The primary responsibilities and decisions reside in these areas:
Financial services
• Provide high quality team leadership, support, and advice to Finance Administrative staffthrough coaching and feedback, policy compliance, direction, and escalation any urgent financial issues for resolution.
• Workflow management ensuring supplier and service provider invoice processing and reporting are done Promptly and as outlined by Toll Financial policy.
• Ensure Staff Travel and acquittals are promptly done in accordance with Travel policy.
• Review and monitor individual performance against KPI’s and provide regular monthly coaching and support to address gaps and improve efficiencies and productivity.
• Key contributor to the formal twice yearly Performance Review process at Toll.
• Manage day to day resource levels (leave etc) and workload allocation to ensure service levels are still achieved.
• Awareness and consideration of the political and religious sensitivities that apply to customers and their host countries.
• Ensure efficient Liaison and stake holder management involving suppliers, Service Providers and all other internal and external Partners.

Customers
• Triage any finance or administrative complaints or escalations and, in tandem with the Global Operations Manager take these to resolution.
• Close the loop on technical and/or administrative service-related errors with a focus on areas that require training or additional support.
• Develop and maintain a good relationship between suppliers, service providers and all case manager from all regions.
Clients & Stakeholders
• Maintain excellent working relationships with regional and global representation of major stakeholders (see Key Relationships) in a culturally diverse area.
• Work closely with major subcontractors to support streamlined Financial service delivery and triage / manage service escalations or risks.
• Be a clear and frequent communicator

Requirements and qualifications

Additional education

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • CPA, ACCA Certification or equivalent Is desirable

  • Experience with team leadership.
  • Experience in International Financial management & reporting systems
  • Possess a diverse portfolio and Mind which can accommodate and respect all stakeholders.
  • Microsoft suite of products including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Financial Report writing and Presentation Skills
  • Strong stake holder engagement ability in a large organisation, preferably in finance and administrative environment.
  • Possess strong financial analysis skills
  • Be adoptable to the organisation's way of operation.

  • Demonstrate high level of integrity Demonstrated understanding of internationally accepted Financial and reporting Principles.
    ▪ Solid understanding and experience of finance administrative concepts including the management and excellent communicator who flourishes in a fast-paced environment.
    ▪ Be exceptionally well organised and methodical in approach to service delivery.
    ▪ Ability to sustain high levels of customer service and productivity when under pressure from clients and customers.
    ▪ Ability to motivate, coach and lead a team to meeting clear targets and objectives.
