Senior Data Analyst

Overview

Our client, a global leader in energy monitoring and management, is looking to recruit a Senior Data Analyst to be based in the Nairobi, Kenya offices. The successful candidate will lead the Virtual Energy Management department and play a pivotal role in harnessing data-driven insights to optimise energy usage, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies for effective virtual energy management.
• Lead a team of data analysts to extract, analyse, and interpret complex data sets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement data-driven solutions.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of data models and algorithms.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data collected for analysis.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics.

Additional education

Must have a Relevant bachelors’ degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Must have 5+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector.
• Must have strong expertise in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, and proficiency in Python or other programming languages.
• Solid understanding of energy management principles and technologies.
• Experience in leading and managing a team of data analysts.
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
