Qatar Charity wishes to competitively recruit a Logistic and Administration Support Officer to manage its various current and future Programs for its Kenya Office who will be based within the Republic of Kenya
Job Particulars
Qatar Charity Logistic and Administration Support officer is responsible for managing material & personnel movement of organization as well as managing all aspect of the employment processes and general welfare of staffs by Qatar Charity field office in Kenya in accordance with the highest professional standards of NGOs in Organization management.
Responsibilities
Job Duties
- Provides necessary logistical support for all office work particularly for communications, transport, bookings, storage, permits, etc.
- Follow up on all contracts and legal affairs.
- Maintain all office fixed assets and its inventories.
- Maintains safety and security measures and conditions in the office and during office activity performance.
- Supervises the documentation process of purchases.
- Maintains effective means of communication and close collaborations among staff. Ensures the maintenance of working environment that yields productivity and furnishes essential office supplies.
- Serve as the receiver of important mail, documents and items delivered to the organization's address.
- Payments of all office invoices and outstanding payments.
- Handling all Human Resource issues in terms of recruitment, salaries, training, placement, leave and general welfare of staff.
- Ensuring that filing system is up to date and in accordance with HR processes.
- Prepares and submits staff monthly attendance report to the Country Director. Establishes and maintains media relations as well as coordinates events of the organization.
- Trains, evaluates staff and represents the Human Resources Department.
- Interprets and communicates Kenya Labor law and Regulations.
- Participates in committees formed by the office for the purpose of coordinating joint work such as the Procurement Committee, the recruitment Committee, the Inventory Committee and others.
- Any other tasks assigned by the Country Director
Requirements and qualifications
Additional education
- Bachelors project dedevelopmentevelopment/Economics/sociology /Business Administration/Health/Legal (Required)
- Masters project development /Development/Economics/sociology/Business Administration/Health/lehal (preferred)
- Certified Human Resource Management (CHRP)
- Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (CLSM)
Experience
5 YearsAdditional experience
- Developmental and humanitarian field with UN or other NGOs.
- Fieldwork with /UN/NGOs in leadership positions. UN/NGOs Projects management experience.
Additional skills
- Strong educational background, preferably in the field of Logistic & Administration support Management or any other relevant social sector
- Work experience as a Logistic and Administration Support Officer for not less than 5 years Experience in resource management
- Excellent written and verbal in English, Arabic is added advantage. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
