The General Manager, IT and Digital Transformation will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership in the development, management, alignment and implementation of IT and Digital Transformation strategies, policies and initiatives in line with the company’s overall goals.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance and Strategy Director, you will be responsible for the following functions:
• Developing a clear IT and digital transformation strategy aligned to the company’s goals and objectives.
• Creating a data strategy that focuses on collecting, analysing and leveraging data to make informed business decisions.
• Designing, implementing and managing the entire IT infrastructure.
• Collaborating with business leaders in identifying technology driven solutions.
• Leading change, successful adoption of emerging technologies and digital transformation in the company.
• Ensuring availability, reliability and security of all systems and company data.
• Driving innovation and fostering a digital mindset for the company to remain competitive.
• Optimizing business processes through automation.
• Implementing IT project management best practices.
• Staying current with industry trends, technologies and regulations.
• Assessing emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for digital advancement.
• Ensuring that digital solutions prioritize user experience and align with customer needs and expectations.
• Recognizing the environmental impact of technology initiatives and explore ways to make them more
sustainable and environmentally friendly.
• Managing the budget and allocation of resources for all technology related initiatives.
• Developing and leading a high performing IT team through guidance and mentorship.
• Providing IT support for dealer network platforms.

Additional education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field
• KCSE Mean Grade B+.
• Advanced IT certifications
• A master’s degree in IT related fields will be an added advantage

Experience

Additional experience

• Ten years’ relevant experience with the last three years as Head of IT and Digitization in a fast paced commercial and technology driven environment

• Excellent relationship management
