Overview

Tarakwo Dairies Plc is a farmer owned company located near Bayete shopping centre, along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway , UasinGishu county. To meet the human resource requirements for its rapidly expanding business, the company invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following position: Field Officers

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

• Helping dairy farmers on fodder and pasture establishment.
• Conducting farm visits to help farmers on issues such as to hygiene, records keeping, clinicals and artificial insemination.
• Milk mobilization for the company to ensure consistent supply
• Conducting farmer trainings
• Handling farmer complaints and conducting follow up on all cases of milk rejections to advise concerned farmers
• Monitoring on competitive activities to ensure the company achieves and maintains a high market share of the raw milk supply
• Fostering a good working relationship between the dairy farming community and the company

Additional education

• Diploma or certificate in agricultural extension and education, general agriculture, dairy production, Dairy technology, animal health from a recognized institution.

Experience

Additional experience

• At least three years’ experience working with dairy farmers

Skills

• Flexibility
• excellent communication skills
• proficiency in Microsoft office suite

Additional skills

• A valid motorbike riding licence
• Ability to work at odd hours
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and records keeping skills
• Computer literate
• A history of achieving set performance targets
