Position Title: Custodial Team Leader - FM

Opening Period: 07/13/2023 – 07/26/2023

The U.S. Mission in Nairobi is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Custodial Team Leader in Facilities Management Section.

Responsibilities

Supervises and coordinates work and performance for a workforce of 8-10 Custodians at the New Embassy Compound (NEC) and Offsite Facilities. The incumbent reports to the Custodial Supervisor (FSN 7 - C52503)
Coordinates and performs custodial duties in assigned zones that include cleaning and vacuuming of offices and hallways, dusting office desks and work surfaces, cleaning of windows, kitchens, waiting areas, CAC's, guard force shacks, showers, and toilets in the entire Mission 400,000sqft of floor space

Requirements and qualifications

Additional education

Completion of Secondary school is required
Level III English (Good working knowledge, Writing/Reading/Speaking) is required. (This may be tested) and Level III Swahili (Good Working Knowledge, Writing/ Reading/ Speaking) is required.

Experience

3 Years

Additional experience

Minimum of 3 years' experience as custodian is required.

Additional skills

Job Knowledge:

Working knowledge of all equipment and products (including chemicals and detergents) associated with the trade.
Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Internet, and Outlook) knowledge and understanding of Use/ Care/ Storage/ Maintenance of Cleaning equipment and materials

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Proven leadership qualities.
Ability to supervise and clearly communicate with supervisor and subordinates.
Ability to safely use all custodial cleaning equipment and supplies.
Valid driving license
