Reports to the Agricultural Counselor (AC). Works closely with the Agricultural Specialist (AS) to serve as an expert advisor and principal Foreign National assistant for analytical issues to the Agricultural Officer(s) (AO). Assists the AS, Marketing Specialist (MS) and AO in developing and implementing the post’s agricultural country plans for Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi, Malawi, Tanzania, and Kenya – all of which are covered from Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) Nairobi.

Requirements and qualifications
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Business Management
- Bachelors degree in economics
- Bachelors degree in agricultural economics
Additional education
Bachelor’s degree in economics, agricultural economics, or business management is required.
Must have experience with spreadsheet packages, Microsoft and Adobe Suite, basic understanding of computer operations and best e-filing practices, proven judgment on social media.
Experience

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with government(s), demonstrating strong analytical and professional writing experience with a minimum of one (1) of those years including experience in financial management is required.

Level IV English (Speaking/Reading/Writing) (This may be tested), Level III Kiswahili (Speaking/Reading), and Level III (Speaking) in another local language is required.
